Breath is life and did you know your breath is the key to your weight loss? Your body is using oxygen to burn more fat!
Or that when we lose weight, we exhale the weight? That’s right, inhale deep and oxidize your fat! And your stress over losing weight and those pounds will come off!
Most important of all, your cells need more oxygen to release fat! Here’s the thing, 80% of fat leaves your body through the lungs.
I read this amazing fact in Men’s Journal:
Scientists from the University of New South Wales in Australia did some math. When 22 pounds of fat is oxidized, 18.5 pounds leave the body through the lungs as CO2. The remaining 3.5 pounds becomes water.
The thing to remember here is that the oxygen needed to complete this metabolic process weighs nearly three times the fat being lost. So, to completely oxidize 22 pounds of human fat, 64 pounds of oxygen must be inhaled.
Breathing for Weight Loss
Let’s deep breath and exhale our way to weight loss.
If you’re not sold, deep breathing helps your body absorb nutrients. All the more reason to start. If you’re stuck in fight or flight mode, digestion might not be functioning properly. Deep breathing helps!
You’ve heard it again and again from us about the importance of mindset through meditation. Breathing is an important aspect of life and the fundamental element in yoga and meditation. Yoga teaches us to breathe no matter what position we are trying to literally balance or no matter the position we must balance in life. Meditation teaches us to breathe and let go of fear, not let it control our peace of mind. Often our fears aren’t real.
In the book Return to Love, we are reminded how we come into this world as love, but we are taught fear. Fear is False Evidence Appearing Real. The event hasn’t happened, and it’s more than likely our fear won’t happen. We have the power of choice to prevent it.
Our fear is negative possibilities we are investing our energy into.
Here’s the ugly truth, when you don’t breathe in deeply and out you are not getting rid of all of the waste or fat you could be getting rid of. Gross, I know. When we are stressed, we take these short shallow breaths or worse, we hold our breath. We are creating tension and holding onto waste in our bodies.
