Diets that work actually exist?
So many people say diets don’t work, but I feel that it is unfair to make that statement because diets that work definitely exist. It is difficult to locate one in the millions of options we have in the billion dollar industry of weight loss, but it can be done.
I tried so many diets. Truly hoping to find a diet that worked, I bought Nutrisystem™, LA Weight Loss™, MediFast/Take Shape for Life™, stuff from GNC™, SlimFast™, did anything Dr. Oz suggested, internet plans, personal trainer, gym memberships, and the list goes on and on. By the time I was 35, I was at my top weight of 215 pounds and after MediFast, I vowed to NEVER do a diet again. My quest for finding a diet that worked was over. I was going to have to be FAT and happy, because my emotional sanity was on the edge of no return. I had failed, needed to accept it and get on with my life.
The HCG Diet
Fast forward one year later. My wonderful Aunt Jaunita, is always hunting for diets that work, began the HCG diet. It did work! She lost 50 pounds in 3 months and kept it off. When she visited that summer, I asked her what she had done and when she said it was a diet, I said no thanks!
Three months later, at the age of 40, I found myself sitting on my closet floor weeping because I could no longer fit into my 16’s and did not have many size 18’s in my closet. That was when I decided to try the HCG diet.
After 6 weeks, I lost 35 pounds and went from that size 16/18 down to a 10! I hadn’t seen a 10 since somewhere between kid 1 and kid 2. So in 65 days total I had lost 50 pounds, 60 inches, and 4 sizes! My life has not been the same. Diets that work? I know this one does. And so do my family members. My husband lost 72 pounds in 72 days; my sister-in-law lost 135 pounds (the first 100 pounds in 6 months).
Since I lost that weight, I have found myself. I have changed careers, started my own business and began helping people meet their weight loss goals, find themselves, give them hope that it is possible to lose weight and teach them how to keep it off! I feel that if I can do it, anyone can.
Many people are looking for diets that work as a mental stimulant or catalyst to help them use food for food and not cravings. If you are looking for a diet to change the reason why you eat, you will not find diets that work on fixing that part of you.
