Processed Foods: What are they?

Today we design everything in this world as we want. We are playing creators with everything down to designer food or processed foods. We live in a world where everything from meat, fruit, vegetables, carbs, sugar, and so much more can be processed foods. How does this happen with fruits and vegetables? Monsanto is making it so seeds are not easily accessible to farmers. The seeds they are selling are GMO. They do not have the same nutrients as the heirloom seeds farmers use. Any farmer who doesn’t do things the way Monsanto wants farming to go has been sued by Monsanto. I

How do we identify processed foods? Some processed foods can be identified quickly with a label. Unfortunately, the FDA doesn’t require companies to list 100% of the ingredients used to make the food we eat. Companies are allowed to use labels reading grass fed when the animals are not.

So what are we really eating?

Some of us cringe at eating vegetables because we don’t like the way they taste, but we have even more of a reason to cringe. Do you know how to tell if your produce is GMO or contains pesticides? Now, let’s go over how to properly read labels. It’s common sense to not eat anything you don’t recognize or can’t pronounce, but we trust the FDA too much with our health decisions.

Foods you should buy organic are: Avocadoes, GMO free Sweet Corn, pineapples, cabbages, onions, sweet peas frozen, papayas, asparagus, mangos, eggplants, honeydew melons, and kiwi.
